Good afternoon, bloggers.
Let me begin by introducing myself. My name is Summer. I am a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom of two beautiful girls. I will be sharing with you my journey of finding an income working solely online. My goal is to relieve financial pressure from husband while securing my place at home.
I will document my progress and detail my efforts by sharing the sites I use, the exact results I get, and what I learn from the internet marketing gurus. I will show you what works and what doesn't, and how it affects me as I manage and school my children. I hope this will be an honest and interesting look at what it really takes to work at home. Before we start, you should know that I have no previous experience working online. In fact, a month ago I had no idea that people legitimately made incomes by just being on the internet!
Roughly three weeks ago, my oldest brother began spamming Facebook that he found a site that paid money to users for just checking their email and playing games. I did my best to ignore him and avoid the topic because I immediately thought "Great, he's selling Amway, again." Well, a few days later, we had a real conversation about the site and I decided to try it out since it was completely free. So, on July 22, I opened an account with PeopleString - a free social networking site that shares its ad revenues with members.
I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I was quickly introduced to this world where people are actually making thousands of dollars just being online, not just with PeopleString, but with what seems to be a long list of sites that pay you to do various tasks on the internet. I started watching videos on Youtube and seeing proof that these people were bringing in pretty big bucks. The potential of making money out there is staggering and I wanted to be part of it! I thought...Hey, I have a degree (not that that actually matters doing this kind of work, but it at least helps me feel more able) and I'm a hard worker...surely, if these guys can do it, so can I!
Telling my husband what I was going to do was interesting. It was like I was playing a new video game or crocheting a new scarf. He gave me the "that's nice, sweetie" pat on the head and went back to watching King of the Hill. Over the last three weeks, he has shown growing support to my efforts and seems to understand that I'm really into this whether or not he believes it will actually work.
In the following series of blogs, I will go through the sites I have joined in the last couple of weeks and what I have made so far. I will then include you, dear reader, in all my efforts to be financially successful online.
Thanks for reading!
