Where to begin...

Welcome back, readers.

Tonight I want to begin giving you the list of sites I have joined in the last 28 days that I have made any type of money or compensation.  I will give you a brief description of each in this post but will later talk about some of them in more depth, particularly if they prove successful.

PeopleString

I will go in chronological order and start with PeopleString.  I've already told you my story of the site's discovery, so I'll spare you those details.  PeopleString is very similar to Facebook and MySpace in that it is a social networking site where you create a profile, have the opportunity to meet people and connect with friends with messaging and status updates, and even play a few games.  The main difference in  the sites is that PeopleString shares 70% of the ad revenues with its members.

I use PeopleString as my homepage or as some call it...my "internet portal".  I use it to connect to my email, Facebook, Twitter, shopping, etc.  By doing this I gain People Points that show how much I use the site.  At the end of the month the points turn to cash.  There's no real formula as to how many points equal what amount of money, but obviously when they start passing out the cash...the more points you have the bigger your portion of the revenues will be.

The site also has a few other options to make faster money that I use.  You can take surveys, watch videos, or participate in both free and paid offers that offer small cash rewards.  I have downloaded a few toolbars, completed the daily surveys when available, and always watched the videos.

As with any money making site (as I'm quickly finding out), you can also make money from referrals.  PeopleString pays you 5% of everything your direct referrals make (from ad revenue, surveys, video, etc.) and then 2% of what everyone your referrals refer up to 6 levels.  I have 3 referrals...one of which is active.

I do consider PeopleString to be my "primary" source of online income at this early stage, which is why I can give you more info about it than the other sites.  If you're interested in PeopleString, contact me at robandsummer@peoplestring.com with questions, or feel free to sign-up here.

To date I have made $13.91 and have over 8100 people points toward ad revenue for this month.

Read Bud

The next site I joined due to pure curiosity.  A gentleman on the PeopleString posted several banners on my profile one day and this one caught my eye.

readbud - get paid to read and rate articles

I signed up on August 1st and found that the banner is correct...all you need to do is read articles that are obviously written by amateur article writers and then rate them on a scale of 1-5.  You get paid by the length of the article (longer articles offer higher rewards) anywhere from 2-20 cents.  You choose your topics of interest so the articles should be somewhat interesting to you.

I have found that many of the articles are poorly written but have read a few jewels, such as a detailed account of why the ionic hairdryers are better than the regular ones.  I've always wondered about it and now I know!  Anyway, I typically read a few articles in the morning and then again before bed.

With Read Bud, I've made so far...$7.21.  If you're interested in participating in this site, please use the banner.

Neobux

Last week, a friend who is also into making money online suggest Neobux.  This is the simplest site to use but also the most confusing to me.  Neobux pays you 1 cent per click to view 4 ads per day.  That's right math majors...they pay you 4 cents a day.  Sounds terrible, right?  Well, yes and no...it's very slow to start (as I'm finding out) but it you stick with it daily there's a lot of potential because of their referral program.  As I understand it, when you have clicked on your four ads so many days that you have some money in your account you can "rent" referrals and then you earn a penny for the clicks the referrals make as well as your own.  Hopefully, this one will become clearer the longer I do it as I really don't understand the renting aspect but sort of get the results it will bring.

So, in 7 days with Neobux, I've brought in a whopping...$0.29.

Points2Shop

This one is a neat little site.  I joined Points2Shop 6 days ago after watching a video of a guy making $100 in 2 days.  The idea is very simple...you view company ads, takes surveys, take part in free or paid offers, sign up for free trials, or whatever catches your eye...and you earn points.  These points can be used to purchase items on Amazon at the rate of 100 points = $1.  The points seem to be very easy to get and there are plenty of free offers to choose from.  I, personally, don't spend money on any of the things I use to make money.  They also offer games to help gain points as well.

To date, I have made $6.70 with Points2Shop

So, for 28 days online, I have pulled in (dromroll, please) $28.11.  Not enough to replace husband's job, but I'm persistent.

In my next post I will outline some of the marketing strategies I'm learning and my sources...stay tuned!

I hope this has been helpful.  Thanks for reading!
